3 Ways to use GLITTER
Where my glitter girls at?
Glitter is one of those ingredients that either you love or hate; there is no in between. Personally, I love glitter and everything about it. Seeing more and more companies coming out with stunning, vibrant glitter palettes warms my little heart and makes me just want to buy them ALL.
Have you been eyeing those cute little tubs of cosmetic glitter, but don’t quite know how to use them? Or, have you made several attempts just to have a glitter bomb all over your makeup table, yourself and your clothes?
Here are three ways to use glitter on your face, featuring MUA’s Ultra Sparkle Duo Glitter Pigments, available at Just4Girls.pk, Pakistan’s premier online makeup shopping destination!
Add to your eyeshadow
Before attempting this, you want to add your foundation or BB Cream (if you’re wearing any), and then add a thin layer of petroleum jelly to your eyelids. You can do this after you’ve added a base color, or to naked lids if you want a very subtle glitter look. You can also use a small liner brush to add eyelash adhesive to your upper lash line (but stay away from the waterline). I would do either or the other, but not both.
After applying your adhesive or petroleum jelly, take your glitter and pat onto your eyelid with an eyeshadow brush. Be sure to put the pot of glitter on top of a plate or tray, otherwise you can leave little trails of glitter everywhere.
Use a Q-tip or brush to brush away excesss glitter. When it’s time to remove, you want to use an oil-based makeup remover.
Make those lips shine!
The first step is to apply your favorite lipstick. Add one coat, blot then add a second coat (but do not blot the second coat).
Take your favorite glitter and dab on using a lip brush. If the glitter is not sticking, use a dab of clear lip gloss or petroleum jelly and try again.
Press your lips together to lock the glitter in place. Again, to remove, you want to use an oil based makeup remover.
After you’ve applied your base and primer, you want to apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or aloe vera gel to your cheek area (you can also use a skin-safe adhesive like this MUA Glitter Glue).
Take a small concealer brush or foundation brush to apply the glitter. I like to use a stipple brush, because I want a more diffused, all over glow rather than a concentrated blast of glitter.
